VICTORIAN WALKERS WHO HAVE REPRESENTED AUSTRALIA

Victoria has long been the powerhouse of Australian walking, producing the majority of our International walkers. Nearly all of these athletes have been members of VRWC. This page celebrates that fact. Congratulations to all the walkers who are mentioned here.

The following document lists all Victorians who have represented Australia in the sport of racewalking in any of:

OLYMPICS
WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
INTERNATIONAL WALKING FEDERATION WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR WOMEN
IAAF WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
WORLD INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
COMMONWEALTH GAMES
WORLD WALKING CHAMPIONSHIPS / LUGANO CUP
WORLD STUDENT GAMES
GOODWILL GAMES

VRWCInternationalRepsList.pdf

There are, of course, other representative efforts but this list is restricted to the normally accepted major competitions.

Note that profiles of all these walkers can be found in the book 'Once Were Walkers' that was published in 2006.It can still be ordered as per the following link:  Once Were Walkers

Since then, more Victorian walkers have joined this elite club and those already on the list have further enhanced their own records. YOu can read updated profiles of these and other Victorian walkers by following the link http://au.geocities.com/timerickson.geo/index.html
