SEASON COME TO A CLOSE
Our VRWC winter season is now drawing to a close. As of whe I
write this, we have only 1 racing day to go, on Sunday 10 September.
VRWC WINTER
SEASON RUNNERS WORLD AWARDS FINALISED
The VRWC Committee has voted on the short list of nominations
and I am pleased to announce the winners our 2011 Winter Season Runners
World Awards.
Andrew Jamieson - Open Men
Heather Carr - Open Women
Nathan Brill - Junior Men
Amelia Finnegan - Junior Women
We will arrange for Neil Ryan of Runners World Kew to come down during

AV WINTER
SEASON PERPETUAL TROPHIES
Athletics Victoria has ratified our recommendations so I can also
announce the winners of 3 of the 4 AV perpetual trophies that we
present on their behalf.
Ballarat Harriers
win the BETTY NEWMAN TROPHY as the AV team which
accumulated the most number of points in the 3 AV Championships for
Open Women
Stephanie George
- sinner of the AVIS REDMAN TROPHY for the Best Under
16 Girl Walker
Jemima Montag - winner of the
TOM DAINTRY TROPHY for the Best Under 14 Girl Walker
We are still to announce the winner of the NORM GOBLE TROPHY for the
most points earned in the men's AV championships - with the 50km still
to go, we can't finalise this yet.
